Brief History Of BaptismThe baptism is a Greek word and it means to full immerse and dunk under as in the dying of a garment. They follow a religious process which is carried out in church. It is done through the invitation to the prayer, litany of the saints, prayer of the water and profession of faith. The christening of the baby is conducted by the parents and it is led out by the Fathers of the church. In the present situation the part of the baptism is performed in the church with all the rituals. It is because of the birth of the baby and the creation of the circumstances is such as to make known to the people of such an activity. History also corresponds to the present scenario but when the comparison is done then the enjoyment leads in the present situation. This started from the third century and then gradually this started as a practice. And now the recent scenario is considered to be carried out according to the traditional behaviors. History
The word was first coined in Greece and the earliest biblical directions for baptism occurred in the Didache. And didache is the common name of early Christian period which contains instructions for Christian communities. It has been described in many periods. The infant baptism is considered to be customary and traditional. Irenaeus, Tertullian, Origen, Apostolic tradition, Hippolytus of Rome it explains the way that how the performance is carried out. Previously it was not done or anything was not in the practice but when the child was unable to answer the parents use to give the answer. And on this basis it was originated. Irenaeus was generally known to be the bishop at Lyon in France. Tertullian was a church leader and he was a prolific author of early Christianity. Origen was the early Christian scholar. Apostolic tradition it attributed to the Hippolytus of Rome. The history is thus considered to the evidence of the origin of the baptism ceremony that is done with a great zeal by the parent of the new born baby. These aforementioned characters made the baptism go strong in the future and make the people go according to the traditional way. Conclusion The concept of the baptism has made the people to execute the things in a traditional way. Previously baptism was considered to be the salvation when the people were dying they use to take a bath in the water so that they can clean all the sins that were committed. Baptism is an ancient practice which is still carried in this modern period. While this is carried out all the things are kept in the mind and is done with a great enthusiasm.
